If you haven’t received yours yet, the city of Evansville says you may find a census questionnaire at your front door. WNIN's John Gibson has details...
The city said field staff will begin to drop off 2020 Census questionnaire packets at front doors in Evansville neighborhoods this week.
The Census Bureau began hand-delivering census materials on March 15, but suspended the field work three days later due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a release, the city said the re-started operation is contactless and follows current federal health and safety guidelines.
The bureau, in coordination with federal, state and local health officials, says it’s dropping off questionnaires to more than 39,000 households in Indiana.
The distribution will focus on areas where the majority of households do not receive mail at their physical address.
