An Easterseals truck has been stolen in Posey County.
The non-profit says its Posey County operation has been unable to serve its adult clients since March 20th due to coronavirus precautions.
Now, Easterseals faces another hurdle after its 24-foot box truck was stolen.
In a release, spokeswoman Pam Kirk said the missing truck is essential to a program serving 45 adults with disabilities.
Kirk said the crime wasn’t obvious at first, because the thieves left behind an almost identical truck that was previously stolen from Philpot, KY.
Security footage from a nearby business revealed the culprits made the switch last Saturday, just before noon.
Easterseals says the Posey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff office at 812-838-1320, or your nearest law enforcement agency.
