The COVID 19 death toll from a Newburgh nursing home has risen to 8.
Warrick County Coroner Sarah Seaton says an 89-year-old man died after two women, ages 66 and 90, died Monday night.
Seaton said they were all residents of Signature Healthcare.
Word of the latest three deaths came less than a day after Signature reported its fifth death.
Signature spokeswoman Ann Bowdan Wilder called it “devastating” and said the facility is “deeply saddened” by all the losses.
Wilder said eight staff members who tested positive for COVID-19 will not return to work until they receive special and verified medical clearance.
Coroner Seaton said Warrick County has recorded a total of nine COVID-19 related deaths, eight of them from Signature Healthcare.
