The state of Indiana is reporting a spike in COVID 19 deaths, while Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Posey counties all report new cases.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported Tuesday that Vanderburgh County’s number of confirmed cases rose by one to 88, Warrick County’s number jumped ten to 69, and Posey County climbed to eight confirmed cases.
The Warrick County Coroner also reported three more deaths from Signature Healthcare in Newburgh. Seven residents of the nursing home have now died of COVID 19.
Gibson County reported no new cases.
Statewide, the department reported 61 new coronavirus-related deaths, pushing Indiana’s death toll beyond 600 – to 630.
The state reported more than 400 new cases, down a bit from the previous report.
The total of positive cases rose above 12,000 out of more than 67,000 tested.
