Evansville Police are investigating a shooting, in which a man was wounded in the face.
In a release, the EPD said officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Irish Lane at about 8:30 Monday night for a report of shots fired.
Upon arriving, officers found 37-year-old James Ray Brown Jr. had been shot in the face.
Police said he was alert and breathing, but unable to give any suspect information.
Brown was taken to a hospital and immediately underwent surgery. His condition was unknown.
Police said no arrests have been made.
