Vanderburgh County has recorded its first coronavirus-related death.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported the local death as one of 41 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Vanderburgh County.
There was no word on the identity of the local victim.
The number of confirmed cases in Warrick County rose four to 23.
No new cases were reported in Posey or Gibson counties.
The statewide update released Tuesday showed an increase of 34 coronavirus-related deaths to 173.
The statewide number of confirmed cases topped 5,500.
The agency also reported nearly 29,000 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Indiana.
