Many non-profit organizations are helping the community's most vulnerable residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, while facing their own challenges. But help is on the way…
The Community Foundation Alliance is making up to $1 million of its own funding available to support other Southwestern Indiana nonprofits.
On its website, the Alliance said it’s contributing a $250,000 grant to the Greater Evansville COVID-19 Fund which will serve Gibson, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick counties and address basic needs for shelter, food, and medical care.
Similar efforts are underway in Daviess, Knox, Perry, and Pike counties.
The Alliance says it’s also offering rapid response grants through county-specific funds.
