New Clinic Opens to Check COVID-19 Symptoms

Deaconess is offering a new clinic for patients with COVID-19 symptoms.

A respiratory immediate care clinic has opened inside Deaconess Clinic in Downtown Evansville.

In a release, Deaconess Health says appointments are required, and patients can self-schedule at www.deaconess.com/urgentcare.

The new clinic is open from 8 AM to 8 PM, 7 days a week, and is for patients ages 4 and up who have COVID-19 symptoms.

Deaconess says when patients arrive they’re greeted at the door, given a mask, and then taken to an exam room.

The providers examine the patients and determine what testing may be needed. Some tests, such as for flu or other illnesses, as well as chest x-rays, can take place inside the clinic.

Deaconess says if COVID-19 testing is appropriate, a nearby testing option will be available.

The pre-scheduling requirement and designated location and process help protect health care workers and patients.

More information about COVID-19 symptoms and testing is available at deaconess.com/coronavirus.
