A juvenile is in custody following a shooting in Owensboro.
In a release, the OPD said officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2200 block of Bluff Avenue just before 10:00 Tuesday night.
Responding officers didn’t find any evidence of a shooting but more than an hour later, they were called to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital – where a man was being treated for a gunshot wound.
The victim’s injuries were not believed to be non-life threatening.
Police said an investigation led them to a juvenile male who was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of a Handgun by a Minor.
