Local employers have a new program to help them deal with employee addiction issues.
With low unemployment always an issue for businesses needing workers, more of them are willing to work with employees struggling with drug or alcohol addiction.
Now, a well-known Indiana initiative called the Workforce Investment Program has been modified using new research by Centerstone, a mental health and addiction treatment services provider.
The revamped program is now being offered through Indiana Workforce Recovery to help employers who want to invest in workers who admit they have a problem and want to seek treatment.
A release from the Indiana Chamber says the first Indiana Workforce Recovery employer training session is scheduled March 24 at the Indiana Chamber conference center in downtown Indianapolis.
