A Vanderburgh Superior Court judge is stepping down.

Gov. Eric Holcomb's office says Judge Robert Tornatta will step down April 3rd.

It’s not clear why Tornatta is leaving the bench. He has served the court for 22 years.

Gov. Holcomb will select Tornatta's successor to complete the term which runs through December 2024.

Applications can be filled-out online at in.gov/gov.

They’ll be accepted through Feb. 12th.

Tornatta was appointed to the bench in 1997 by then-Gov. Frank O'Bannon.
