A young Evansville woman has been crowned Indiana State Fair Queen. WNIN’s John Gibson has details…
Miss Vanderburgh County Claudia Duncan won the crown.
She’s the fourth Vanderburgh County representative to win, including Tate Fritchley in 2016 and Becca Lax in 2017.
Duncan graduated as valedictorian of Mater Dei High School and currently attends Purdue University majoring in Data Science.
A release states she’s involved in the Honors Mentor Program, the Women in Science Mentor Program, and is a Peer Consultant at the Center for Career Opportunities.
She’s also a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Evansville and gives back to 4-H as a Project Superintendent.
The Indiana State Fair Queen promotes the fair by traveling to about 45 counties in June and July.
