Police stopped a car traveling the wrong direction on a Knox County highway.

Knox County Dispatch received a 911 call about a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lane on U.S. 50 early Sunday morning.

A sheriff’s deputy stopped the vehicle, which police say was driven by 41-year-old Joshua Conley of Olney, IL.

Indiana State Police say in a press release an investigation by a trooper revealed Conley was impaired.

The ISP said Conley refused to submit to a chemical test. He was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail.

Conley faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Endangerment.
