A popular bar on W. Franklin St. in Evansville has been sold.
Piston’s Bar and Grill owner Jason English posted on Facebook that he has sold the bar after seven years of operation.
In the post, English complained of what he called “relentless harassment” by the Evansville Police Department and the online service Evansville Watch.
He posted that the EPD and the service that monitors Central Dispatch gave the bar and its employees a “bad reputation."
English wrote that he hopes that EPD and Evansville Watch will treat the new owners with respect.
Evansville Watch has been inactive on Twitter in recent months. It's still posting on Facebook.
There’s no word yet on the identity of the new owner or what’s planned for the establishment.
Piston’s is expected to shut down in 4-to-6 weeks.
