Police arrested two people and ticketed three more during a sobriety checkpoint in Evansville.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office conducted the checkpoint late Saturday night and early Sunday morning on First Avenue near Lohoff.

They stopped 142 vehicles.

In a news release, the sheriff’s office said one driver, 35-year-old Jacqueline Dawn Pullom of Evansville, was arrested on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated.

Another driver was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

The sheriff’s office says one motorist was ticketed for possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage Container and two more were cited for driving with a suspended license.

State Police say preliminary numbers show 68 impaired drivers were arrested across Indiana over the Labor Day weekend.
