Two Found Stabbed In Car; One Charged With Attempted Murder

An Evansville man is accused of attempted murder after he and a woman were found stabbed in a car on Highway 41.

Indiana State Police say a trooper stopped a car that was driving recklessly on 41 near Lynch Road Tuesday afternoon.

The ISP says when the vehicle stopped, the trooper discovered the driver and passenger had knife wounds and were traveling to an Evansville hospital.

In a news release, police identified the driver as 30-year-old Sean Keith and the passenger as 28-year-old Stephanie Marshall, both of Evansville.

They were taken to Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Investigators say Keith and Marshall were driving in northern Vanderburgh County when an argument erupted between the two of them.

Keith allegedly pulled over, got out of the car, approached the passenger’s side, and stabbed Marshall.

Police say Marshall was stabbed in her hand when she tried to defend herself, and Keith was also injured during the stabbing.

After Keith was treated for his injury, he was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. Marshall was still being treated for her injuries Tuesday night.

Keith faces preliminary charges including attempted murder, aggravated battery, and kidnapping.
