A young western Kentucky man is dead after a crash in Hanson.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says in a news release that 73-year-old Leonard Martin Jr. was attempting to back a pickup truck out of his driveway onto Sunset Road Tuesday afternoon.
In an email, the sheriff’s office said Martin’s truck hit a vehicle on the road driven by 21-year-old Darrell Baker of Sacramento.
After the impact, Baker’s vehicle ran off the road and hit a utility pole.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Martin was not injured.
There’s no word of any charges against Martin.
