Heavy trash pickup is underway in Evansville.
The twice-a-year pickup began Monday on the city’s northeast side.
The fall pickup continues through mid-October.
The curbside service is available to Evansville residents who pay for trash service with their water bill.
Apartment complexes, mobile home communities, and business/commercial customers are not eligible.
The city has added some limits to the number of items that can be picked up. More information can be found online at Evansvillegov.org.

Officials also say heavy trash items must be placed where normal weekly trash is collected and should not be put out any earlier than the weekend before the scheduled pick up date.
