Long time TV news anchor and WNIN host David James will receive a statewide honor this fall.
James will be inducted into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Richard M. Fairbanks Hall of Fame.
James David Longest – his given name -- started his journalism career writing and editing for Bosse High School’s newspaper and yearbook.
He went on to become editor of the University of Evansville’s weekly newspaper, the Crescent.
After brief stints with the Evansville Courier and radio station WGBF, James began a 41-year career at WFIE-TV, becoming evening anchor and managing editor.
Since retiring, David has joined WNIN-FM and hosts the weekly program "Two Main Street."
James will be inducted along with radio host and TV reporter Ann Craig-Cinnamon, TV journalist Linda Lupear, and TV program manager and network founder Ed Spray.
The induction ceremony is set for October 24th in Carmel, Indiana.
