Crash On Twin Bridges Kills Owensboro Man, Snarls Traffic

One Owensboro man is dead and another is injured after an early morning crash on the Twin Bridges.

Kentucky State Police say 36-year-old Joseph Revlett of Owensboro was driving on Highway 41 when his car stalled in the right lane of the southbound Twin Bridge.

Revlett began pushing his car from the rear while a passenger, 25-year-old Casey Thurman of Owensboro, pushed from the driver’s door.

Police say 46-year-old Arthur Kampf of Mt. Vernon was driving a pickup truck on the southbound bridge and didn’t see Revlett’s stalled vehicle in time and ran into the rear, killing Revlett.

The crash also threw Thurman from the car and into the left lane of the southbound bridge.

She was taken by ambulance to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for injuries to her shoulder, arm, and legs.

Kampf was not injured.

The KSP says traffic was restricted on the Twin Bridges for nearly four hours for clean-up and investigation.

Police diverted traffic onto the northbound bridge.

Vehicles were backed up into Evansville and through Henderson during the morning commute.
