Authorities have confirmed the identity of human remains found in rural Warrick County.
The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office identifies the victim as 32-year-old Valarie Anne Ruark of Boonville.
Her remains were found Friday near the intersection of Seven Hills and Wasson roads.
In an email, the sheriff’s office said Ruark’s body was badly burned and her death is being treated as a homicide.
The sheriff’s office thanked the public for tips that helped lead to the identification.
