Remains Found In Warrick County Lead To Homicide Probe

Authorities are treating the discovery of remains in rural Warrick County as a homicide.

The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office has preliminarily identified the victim found Friday near the intersection of Seven Hills Road and Wasson Road.

But authorities are not releasing the name of the victim until the identification is confirmed.

In an email, the sheriff’s office said the body was badly burned and the death is being treated as a homicide.

The sheriff’s office is thanking the public for tips that helped lead to the identification.

Authorities have said the remains appeared to be that of a white female with a tattoo of an orange and black frog on the top of her left foot.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call the Warrick County Sheriff's Office at 812-897-6180.
