Storms Roll Through Region

A line of storms produced a least one tornado in the Tri-State on Thursday.

One after another, severe storms rolled through the Evansville area from southwest to northeast, prompting the weather service to issue a string of tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings.

A tornado was confirmed in the Morganfield area, where high winds flipped at least one vehicle.

There’s no word of injuries.

The storms brought down numerous tree limbs and utility lines in the Evansville area.

Vectren – which is now part of CenterPoint Energy -- reported more than 2100 customers without electricity.

Flash flooding blocked numerous roadways, including portions of the Lloyd Expressway and the Henderson Strip.

The storms were part of a powerful system that brought heavy snow to some parts of the country, and tornadoes to others.
