Police are investigating the discovery of explosives at a home in Gibson County.
The Gibson County Sheriff’s office says two officers conducted an investigation at a home on County Road 275 South, outside Oakland City, on Monday.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office says the deputies found two suspicious items “commonly identified as grenades.“
The sheriff’s office is not commenting on the discovery, calling it an “ongoing investigation.”
Officials say making a comment could “compromise their investigation.”
The sheriff’s office does say once the probe is completed, a report will be filed with the Gibson County Prosecutors Office.
The sheriff’s office says it will comment if the Prosecutor’s Office issues warrants.
