An Indiana State Representative from Evansville says the House vote to approve Sunday alcohol sales moves the state into the 21st Century.
Democrat Ryan Hatfield says in a news release that he was happy to endorse the bill that he says will be good for convenience stores, business revenue, and Indiana citizens…
Indiana is one of just a dozen states that prohibits carryout alcohol sales on Sundays, and Hatfield said dropping the ban will be a “positive change.”
He said lawmakers are “finally ready to follow the public’s wishes on this issue.”
The measure now moves to the Indiana Senate, which passed a virtually identical bill on Monday.
