Evansville Police are investigating the death of a child.
A news release from the EPD says the child -- under the age of 2 -- was found unresponsive at 546 Jeanette Benton Drive just after 7:00 Wednesday morning.
Medical and police units responded, but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy.
There’s no word yet on the child’s name or the cause of death.
