Remnants of Patricia to soak Tri-State

The remnants of Hurricane Patricia may put an end to drought conditions in the Tri-State.

The National Weather Service says what’s left of Patricia will combine with another storm system to bring a soaking rain to the Evansville area.

Meteorologist Robin Smith at the Weather Service office in Paducah tells WNIN that rain totals may top two inches in Evansville by Wednesday afternoon.

Smith also says 20-to-25 mile-an-hour wind gusts will accompany this week’s rain.

Smith says another round of rain this weekend should end the drought conditions.
