I-69 a work in progress

An INDOT official is reporting progress at both ends of the I-69 project.

Will Wingfield says the state is conducting a study on charging tolls for a planned I-69 bridge that would connect Evansville and Henderson. He tells WNIN News the study should wrap up in 2015.

He also says the revenue study will be done before any environmental studies begin.

Meantime, Wingfield says an environmental study is already underway on the northern part of the project between Martinsville and Indianapolis.

He says the segment between Bloomfield and Bloomington is on track to open by late next year.
