Mild weather prompted a large turnout for the annual Twilight Tour at Oak Hill Cemetery and Arboretum in Evansville on Saturday.

Hey, it's the WNIN Fall Member Drive! Please consider becoming a member today, or make a one-time donation through PayPal.

About 50 people turned out for the Vanderburgh County Historical Society event, which raised money to help treat almost two dozen ash trees at Oak Hill Cemetery to protect them from the emerald ash borer.

As visitors toured the cemetery grounds, reenactors in costume told stories of Evansville history from World War One.

Other stories at the cemetery event included nurses, Red Cross workers, soldiers and others from World War I, including a reenactor portraying Edward Mead Johnson, whose company moved to this area just before American entered the war.
