Jonathan Waters, 33, of Evansville, faces arson and criminal recklessness charges in connection with a Sept. 11th house fire

An Evansville man has been arrested, accused of starting a house fire on the city’s West Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

The early morning blaze on September 11th in the 1800 block of Stinson Avenue injured two people.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames on the back porch extending into the home.

The occupants were able to get of the burning house before crews arrived.

The EFD says firefighters brought the blaze under control in less than 30 minutes and rescued several family pets.

Investigators conducted interviews, reviewed security and Flock camera footage, and determined the fire was intentionally set.

The probe led to the arrest of 33year-old Jonathan Waters.

He faces three Arson charges and a count of Criminal Recklessness.

Waters was lodged in the Vanderburgh County jail on a 25-thousand dollar bond.
