There’s no word of any arrests after an apparent swatting incident involving Signature School on Friday. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
Central Dispatch received a call just before 9:00 a.m. from someone claiming to be in a bathroom inside the school with a gun, threatening to “shoot up the building.”
Students were evacuated to a nearby EVSC building and all were reported safe.
Evansville Police searched the property twice, found no one with a gun and nothing out of the ordinary, and issued an all-clear.
An investigation continues.
The EPD’s Taylor Merriss says the quick law enforcement response included officers who came running from their desks at the nearby Civic Center.
