One person is dead and three are injured after a head-on crash on I-64. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says it happened early Saturday on the interstate near the 29 mile marker.
Witnesses told investigators that a westbound SUV crossed the grass median and collided with an eastbound pickup truck.
The sheriff’s office says first responders extracted injured persons from the accident scene.
One person in the SUV died at the scene before emergency personnel arrived.
One other person from the SUV and two occupants from the pickup were transported to an Evansville area hospital with what investigators called severe injuries.
The Gibson County Coroner has not yet released the identity of the deceased.
