Less than two weeks before the start of fall, the Tri-State faces another blast of summer heat. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Labor Day was relatively mild but the National Weather Service is calling for temperatures to soar into the mid-90’s Tuesday and flirt with 100 degrees Wednesday.
The agency has not issued any heat advisories or warnings.
The humidity is expected to create a heat index as high as 108 on Wednesday.
Unlike recent heat waves, some relief is expected quickly with showers and thunderstorms likely Wednesday night and Thursday.
