Authorities say it was an Evansville man who died in a Pike County crash that also killed a mother and her child. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The Pike County Coroner's office identified the man as 35-year-old Cory Stevens of Evansville.
Indiana State Police say a Pike County deputy was pursuing Stevens on State Road 64 after a domestic violence incident Saturday evening.
Investigators say the car driven by Stevens crossed the centerline and collided with a minivan driven by 41-year-old Amanda Wertman of Winslow.
The crash killed Stevens, Wertman, and her eight-year-old daughter Michaela.
Wertman’s five-year-old son and two other children were also in the van and were all injured in the tragedy.
Social media posts indicate the group was driving home from Holiday World.
