Police have arrested an Evansville man accused of shooting two people late Monday night. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
23-year-old Jermontae Boyd is charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Investigators believe Boyd fired the shots in the 700 block of North Garvin Street that hit two individuals.
Police found a male victim in the 100 block of E. Missouri who had been wounded in the hip and then learned a second male victim had arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Both victims’ injuries were listed as non-life threatening.
In addition to Boyd, officers arrested a number of suspects in a drug investigation in the 300 and 600 blocks of Sweetser Avenue.
