Two people are injured and a man is arrested after an assault on a Henderson parking lot. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Henderson Police responded to a domestic disturbance outside the Holiday Motel on S. Green Street.
The HPD says officers found an unresponsive female victim and a disoriented motel staff member who had been punched in the face while trying to intervene.
Officers took the suspect, identified as Eric Easley, into custody and rendered emergency medical aid to the female victim until an ambulance took her to a hospital.
Witnesses told police Easley dragged the victim from a motel room into the parking lot and strangled her.
Investigators say Easley admitted trying to kill her.
Police took Easley to the Henderson County Detention Center on charges of attempted murder and domestic violence.
