As many students head back to school, they’re facing very summer-like weather. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for much of the Tri-State through Thursday.
Forecasters are predicting highs in the mid-90’s with the humidity pushing the heat index as high as 109.
The agency urges everyone to stay hydrated, stay out of the sun, take advantage of air conditioning, and check on relatives and neighbors.
Forecasters also say a few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Wednesday and Thursday.
The temperature is predicted to top 90 degrees through at least next Sunday.
