Evansville Police have arrested three people after a man was found severely injured inside a car. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The EPD says officers stopped a vehicle near Highway 41 and Covert Avenue on Saturday for an equipment violation and discovered that the driver had multiple injuries, including significant bleeding from his head.
Police say the driver was reluctant to explain what had happened but it was later determined he was attacked over an incident that occurred more than a year ago.
They say he was hit in the head with a firearm, physically assaulted, and possibly stabbed in the head.
He was taken to a local hospital and his name was not released.
The investigation led police to three suspects: 18-year-old Logan Goines, 20-year-old Tiffany Bulich and 33-year-old Ashly Helms.
Officers arrested them at a home in the 600 block of Taylor Avenue.
Goines faces preliminary charges of Attempted Murder, Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Theft of a Firearm.
Bulich and Helms were arrested on a charge of Aiding, Inducing or Causing Attempted Murder.
