The new book "The War is Upon Us' gives the reader a snapshot of New Harmony's contributions and sacrifices during the Civil War. On Two Main Street David James talks to the authors Bill Bartelt and Ryan Rokicki about three key characters in the book: Robert Dale Owen who had the ear of President Lincoln, Owens's brother Richard who ran a Confederate POW camp only to be later captured by the rebels and Capt. James Penn Bennet who wrote moving letters home to his wife and children.
