Four Evansville Police officers have each received the Lifesaver Award. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The EPD says the officers were awarded for their quick actions during two critical incidents.
The department says officers Josh Myers and Blake Zachary provided immediate aid to a woman who suffered severe injuries and significant blood loss during a dog attack.
They applied tourniquets to both arms and remained with her until medical personnel arrived.
Meanwhile, the EPD says officers Jacob Melliff and Spencer Howell quickly rescued a man who was found hanging and immediately began lifesaving measures.
Their rapid response and decisive actions helped him survive and make a full recovery.
The EPD asks the community to recognize the officers for their courage, composure, and commitment to saving lives.
