Officials honored local inmates who have completed the IN2WORK program. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office recognized the inmates with a graduation ceremony at the County Jail on Monday.
The IN2WORK program is designed to establish a path to success by training individuals for employment in the food service industry upon their release from jail.
The sheriff’s office says programs like
IN2WORK help reduce recidivism by providing participants with valuable job skills, industry certifications, and opportunities for long-term success after release.
Sheriff Noah Robinson says IN2WORK is “a clear opportunity to break the cycle of criminal behavior.”
Graduates were recognized alongside their families and representatives from Aramark Corporation and the Sheriff’s Office.
