Indiana State Police have announced a new public information officer for the Evansville District. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The ISP says Sgt. Seth Rainey will become the spokesperson for the district, after serving in the police agency’s Employment Services and Recruiting Section since 2022.
Sgt. Rainey is a native of Mt. Vernon, a 2003 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, and a 2007 graduate of Ball State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and played on the football team.
Rainey graduated from the State Police academy in December 2008 and was assigned to the Lowell District, before transferring to the Evansville District in 2010.
Rainey has big shoes to fill, replacing Sgt. Todd Ringle who served as Public Information Officer for 25 years before retiring in April.
