Police have arrested a man and confiscated more than 35 pounds of pot. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
Detectives with the Evansville Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force say they stopped a vehicle on Interstate 69 and found the occupant, 32-year-old Jordan Rushing, with more than 25 pounds of suspected marijuana.
Authorities say the investigation led to a search warrant being granted for Rushing’s home where detectives says they seized another ten pounds of pot.
They say they also confiscated two handguns and a large amount of cash.
Police say Animal Care and Control had to remove multiple dogs from Rushing’s home.
Neighbors had complained about the animals but police say Animal Control was unable to contact the resident.
Rushing faces preliminary charges of Dealing Marijuana and Driving While Suspended.
