Evansville Police arrested Bradin Gunther, 18, for an alleged shooting; another suspect is accused of leaving an explosive device inside a home

A young Evansville man faces multiple charges in a case involving a shooting and an improvised explosive device. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Officers responded to a home the 200 block of E. Florida St. late Tuesday night and found one person was grazed by a bullet and another was shot at but not wounded.

Police arrested the suspect, 18-year-old Bradin Gunther, during a traffic stop.

Officers then surrounded the home on E. Florida and say ten people and five dogs exited the home.

Police say they learned that a man wanted on warrants, 28-year-old Zachary Morell, was still inside the home -- along with a wheelchair-bound family member.

The EPD also says detectives discovered an improvised explosive device inside the home and Morell admitted to making it.

Bomb technicians safely removed the device.
Police say Morell was taken into custody without incident and Evansville firefighters helped remove the wheelchair-bound individual from the home.

Officers say that person appeared malnourished and in need of immediate medical attention.

They also say a firearm was recovered that matched the description of the gun allegedly used by Gunther.
