Police have arrested a Jasper man accused of making online threats to Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Indiana State Police at the Jasper Post were contacted about social media posts made via Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram.

The ISP says the posts directed at Beckwith were allegedly committed by 24-year-old Joshua Wasson of Jasper. Investigators questioned Wasson at his place of employment.

They say while retrieving items associated with the investigation in Wasson’s vehicle, they found suspected marijuana and paraphernalia.

Officers arrested Wasson and took him to the Dubois County Jail where he was being held without bond.

Wasson faces a felony charge of Intimidation against a Public Official and two misdemeanor counts related to marijuana.
