Storms Knock Out Power, Dump Rain and Hail

NWS Paducah

A line of severe storms moved through the Evansville area Monday night; limited damage and no injuries were reported

The Tri-State is cleaning up after severe storms rolled through Monday night. WNIN’s John Gibson has a recap:

Hundreds of people were without power after a squall line brought high winds, heavy rain, large hail and possible tornadoes to the area.

As mid-morning Tuesday, CenterPoint had reduced the number of customers in the dark due to downed trees and power lines to about 100.

Kenergy had reduced outages in western Kentucky to just a handful.

There were no injuries reported and the heavy rain helped ease the ongoing drought.

The National Weather Service is predicting more showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night.

More: Tuesday night's severe weather threat is mainly south of Evansville.
