You have an opportunity to safely dispose of unneeded medications tomorrow (Sat). WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office is among agencies accepting expired or unneeded medications during the DEA’s Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Residents can drop off prescriptions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the sheriff’s office at 3500 N Harlan Avenue.
Authorities say it’s a way to prevent medication abuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.
The DEA says it also helps reduce overdoses, overdose deaths, and drug-related violence.
Other drug drop-off sites on Saturday include the Indiana State Police Post in Jasper, the Dubois Fire Station on State Road 545, and the Dubois and Ireland Fire Station on W. Main St.
The Jasper Police Department offers a 24/7 medication drop box at its office on E. Sixth St.
