The Owensboro, KY, police department has terminated Officer Christina Butler; KSP arrested her during an off-duty incident

The Owensboro Police Department has fired one of its officers. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

The OPD says Kentucky State Police arrested Officer Christina Butler during an off-duty incident last month.

The incident occurred at River Valley Behavioral Health Children’s Hospital.

The 39-year-old Butler reportedly got into a physical altercation with a minor.

The OPD says its Professional Standards Unit conducted an investigation and concluded the probe with Butler’s termination.

The department says it remains committed to transparency with the community, the highest standards of accountability and conduct, and taking appropriate action when officers fall short of those expectations.
