Vanderburgh County Sheriff Noah Robinson will replace the embattled sheriff of Dubois County on a state law enforcement board. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
Governor Mike Braun has chosen Robinson to serve on the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board.
The move comes after Braun removed Dubois County Sheriff Tom Kleinhelter from the panel.
Kleinhelter is accused of lying during a state police investigation.
He remains Dubois County Sheriff, pending a decertification request before the training board.
The board is comprised of sheriffs in counties with a population of at least one hundred thousand.
It serves as the governing body of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and its satellite academies throughout the state.
Robinson says he’s “honored” to be selected.
