Anti-Trump Rally Draws Thousands to Riverfront

A number of local organizations hosted a 3rd "No Kings" rally on Evansville's Riverfront Saturday

Thousands gathered on Evansville’s riverfront as part a nationwide protest against the Trump Administration. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Wendy Bredhold of Indivisible Evansville led a chant from the Four Freedoms Monument during the third No Kings Rally on a sunny, cool Saturday afternoon.

John O’Leary of Veterans for Peace told the crowd it’s hard to trust what we here from the Trump administration:

"We the people are in the dangerous position of getting statements from our own government that are less credible than statements we get from foreign sources. So, we have a message for Congress: stop the lies, stop the lies".

Karen Reising of the League of Women Voters suggested people have the power:

"That's why this administration is pushing this so-called SAVE Act, which is loaded with ways to suppress voter turnout, yeah. But like President Obama said, don’t boo, vote."

On the day before the No Kings demonstrations, the White House announced a new mobile app that it called a “direct line cutting through the noise with unfiltered, real-time updates straight from the source.”
